“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Growing up as a military brat, I had the unique opportunity to live and travel to some of the most amazing parts of the world at a very young age. This instilled in me a love for adventure and exploration that would shape my life in ways I never imagined.
Despite the challenges I faced as a Mechanical Engineering major, I persevered through the insane amounts of stress and workload. However, my first internship in engineering left me feeling unfulfilled and unexcited about my career prospects. It was then that I decided to try my hand at business. After landing a job in supply chain, I quickly realized that it wasn’t the right fit for me either. But I didn’t give up hope. I knew I had to keep searching for my true passion, the thing that would give my life meaning and purpose.

I worked hard to land a job in engineering sales, using my degree to my advantage. Once I signed the offer, I felt that something was immediately off. This path that I had chosen felt more like a trap rather than an opportunity. My mindset at the time was that it was my only option: make a career out of something you hate the least.
But it wasn’t until I traveled with my friends to Thailand that everything changed. I realized that I was wasting my youth, and that I needed to live in the moment and pursue my dreams right now, not later. This experience opened my eyes to all the possibilities the world had to offer, and I knew I couldn’t settle for what I deemed a boring life.
I was determined to complete my goals of travel, even if it meant scraping by financially. I searched for a remote job that would allow me to work from anywhere in the world, and eventually, I found it.
Now, I’m living my dream of traveling and exploring the world while still pursuing my career. I’m proof that anything is possible if you have the courage to pursue your passions and follow your heart. So go out there and chase your dreams, because the world is waiting for you!
